If groove size is a problem try this 10x10mm Parting Bead Channel / Carrier for use with 8mm direct fit parting beads.

The channel screws into the original parting bead groove to provide a locator for the parting bead seal.

Q-Lon retofit seal

An Aluminium carrier in mill or Gold finish containing a Schlegel Q-Lon draft seal to be used for the majority of door or window applications requiring a retrofitted seal.

Renovating Sash Windows.

Sash windows are an intrinsic part of a period house and should be repaired rather then replaced if it is at all possible. Sash windows can be more readily dissasembled for repair than double glazed units.

Sometimes the draught proofing and noise reduction properties of a sash window can be improved considerably just by replacing sash window components, so you don’t have to replace the existing jambs and casing.This option is particularly helpful if there is no need to change the size or location of the windows.
